The biggest Xbox Series X in the world is already working

As you may or may not remember, Xbox unveiled the giant Xbox Series X in 2020 that actually turned out to be a refrigerator. Although the Xbox Series X wasn’t a factor, the same concept has survived in the form of the Xbox Series X mini fridges that the company eventually released. While the giant Xbox Series X was just a refrigerator, engineer Michael Pick took inspiration from it to create the world’s largest Xbox Series X — and it actually works.

Calling it “the biggest Xbox Series X in the world” isn’t an exaggeration on Pick’s part, either. The device officially holds the Guinness World Record for largest Xbox console at 6.82 ft x 3.41 ft x 3.41 ft. According to a brief look at the record itself, this was granted on December 9, 2021, so while there is a possibility that a larger number will be built since then, it certainly seems unlikely. You can watch the full video from Choose about building the device for yourself below:

The full video is worth watching to see how much Pick has customized to recreate the Xbox Series X in a big way. It’s basically just a giant wooden chassis that physically houses the Xbox Series X inside, but Pick went the extra mile to make it so that all the buttons function as if they were actually on the smaller console. There’s even the bright green glow that the console is known for as well as the holes on top despite the fact that virtually no one would be able to see them in everyday life.

After it was built, Pick shipped the giant Xbox Series X to ZHC for customization — the same YouTuber that dedicated the world’s largest PlayStation 5 — before it reached its final destination, the YMCA Center for Youth and Teen Development in Atlanta, Georgia. The entire ordeal from creation to delivery is covered in the Pick video.

For physical Xbox consoles, the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are currently available for $499 and $299, respectively, if you can find either one in stock anywhere. You can check out all of our previous Xbox coverage here.
